Dreamcatcher

Posted by in Uncategorized

Do you like dreamcatchers? Well, I met them in 2012 on my USA moto  trip, handmade and sold by Indians along the  road. I am definitely crazy about them. In some Native American cultures a dreamcatcher is a  willow hoop, on which is woven a net or web. The dreamcatcher may also include sacred items such as certain feathers or beads. Traditionally they are often hung as protection. It catches the bad dreams during the night and dispose of them when the day comes. It is said, the shape of the dreamcatcher is a circle because it represents the circle of life and how forces like the sun and moon travel each day and night across the sky. Last week, I had the one on the photo session…with my daughter Michalina.
