Those first NEWBORN moments go by so quickly. All the photographs will be real treasure for your family . My newborn photo sessions capture the earliest days of your new family life, as well as beautiful portraits of your baby.
All the props, backgrounds, blankets are provided. I always discuss what colours, styles, props you like so I can prepare better for the session.
When to book your newborn session…
The best time to photograph a newborn baby is when they are under two weeks of age, after two weeks babies are a little harder to settle and things like colic and baby acne can start to flare up. Photography session done within 14 days after a birth also allows to do the very sweet sleepy poses.
You can contact me at any time during your pregnancy to give me an estimated due date, we will then make a tentative booking and when you arrive home from hospital with your brand new baby you can arrange a suitable time and day for your session. Where? All the newborn sessions are done at the client’s home using natural window light or my soft studio light.
I will come to your home, so you can relax in the comfort of your own surroundings.
The session will be relaxed, providing you with an opportunity to enjoy time with your new arrival.
Each session takes careful preparation to ensure that everything goes smoothly. A newborn shoot is more personal than the typical portrait session in that I need to develop a rapport with the parents. You need to feel I am a safe person to handle your baby and be able to trust me.
As a mother myself, I understand those tiny anxieties that niggle away when a new person comes around your child – but please relax, have a cup of tea and trust that another devoted mother (and trained professional) is taking care of your baby next to you and capturing beautiful images.

When you are not able to invite me to your home we can decide to do some shoots at my place located in Dunstable/Bedforshire.

Newborn sessions can take 3-4 hours, it depends on how the baby feels that day. We need to have plenty of time for feeding and comforting.

MATERNITY session  it is your emotional time when you’re hit with odd cravings, and the occasional urge to cry. You feel a connection to the little soul growing within you, a love that leaves you awed and humbled. And even though little one may not have arrived yet, you’re already there…. you’re already a mother.

Maternity photo shoot  is so much more than just documenting your pregnancy. They are about telling the story of your 9 month journey. So when you look back at photos that capture the real, raw emotion, you’ll instantly be transported back and experience the magic of those moments all over again. But more than that, your children will know the story of who you were as prospective parents — nervous, excited, and loving without reservation. The perfect way to create memories with bump to baby photoshoot. And that is beyond value.

Session can be at your home or outdoors if you would like me to photograph your bump in a natural setting! We can do a variety of poses, with bump out if you wish, including older siblings and partner too. 

KIDS & Family session…I LOVE the uniqueness of each and every family: each family member has a unique personality and perspective, and I love the family dynamics when everyone gets together to have a good time. My favorite family photos always end up being the ones from really great days we spent together.  And that’s what I want to create with you. 

Whether our session includes a game of frisbee at the park, a living room pillow fight, a hike or picnic or even (pretend?) camping at your favorite outdoor spot, or a trip to the beach for sand and marshmallow roasting – I want to capture you, being the awesome family that you are. If that sounds like the kind of family session you’re up for, call or email and we’ll make a plan!
